CHECK WEIGH X-RAY SYSTEM
Designed from scratch for automated food line inspection.
DELIVERED AT A GLANCE
A food industry client needed an end-of-line system to detect foreign objects in packaged food, verify weight, and automatically reject non-conforming items without slowing the production line. MeoMech was brought in to design the complete X-ray check weigh system from scratch and deliver a drawing package for the client to manufacture in-house.
A foreign body incident can result in product recalls, regulatory action, and lasting damage to brand trust. As food manufacturers face increasing retailer scrutiny and tighter compliance requirements, reliable automated inspection at the end of line is becoming a baseline expectation across the sector.

"Every detail in food equipment serves two purposes: function and hygiene. Get either wrong and the line stops."David R.Plant Director
Two inspection functions, x-ray detection and weight verification, had to operate within a single unit running at full production speed. Every surface had to meet food-grade hygiene standards while allowing fast cleaning between shifts. And the footprint had to fit an existing line layout without disrupting the factory floor.
The entire system was designed in food-grade stainless steel with cleaning efficiency and operator access built into the layout. The rejection mechanism was engineered for consistent, repeatable performance at line speed. A manufacturing drawing package was then handed to the client so they could produce the system in-house.
A full drawing package for a dual-function inspection system they could build themselves. Foreign body detection and weight verification in one unit, sized to drop into their existing line without disrupting throughput or production flow.
